This generation has been handed some of finest technological advances with an earth that is technically dying and a country that is slowly conforming to the idea that we need to change to survive. We've seen the the highest gas prices since the seventies, we've seen our car companies bankrupt, our food sources contaminated, the explosion of organic everything and the launch of hybrid cars across the board. Regardless, more could and needs to be done on all levels from the living room couch to the classroom, to the board room.
I feel there is no better vehicle to drive change then young people. We are by nature fearless, energy-filled, hungry, relentless and often times the inexperience that we have we use for the betterment and not the detriment. Teens Turning Green is the sort of young entity that takes notions of change and runs with it.
Teens Turning Green includes a whole program on schools, where teens across the nation can start their own chapters and explore the problems and solutions for eliminating toxins on their campus. Included this is year are branded products from the organization, as well as handbooks and guides to living green from prom to dorm. The programs that are set up can be used at any school, on any campus. To check out what you can do on your campus or community check out Teens Turning Green.

| I do think it is extremely important to go green because it does take over 20 years for a single cigarette to decompose. Whether isn't not using cigarettes/tobacco products or cleaning areas contaminated with buds, we all need to do our part to preserve this Earth and be more energy-efficient. I would love to be apart of this project. - Lenise Lane |
